We turned the corner of a downtown Bakersfield street and there it was, a little old building with green ivy cascading up the creamy white vintage brick walls and old windows reminiscent of days gone by. We said, “ this is it, no need to go any further”. We love finding new places that are literally just under our noses that we have probably driven by every day. The location was perfect for the Mojibi family. The Mojibi’s chose a neutral color palette of creams and blush with a pop of denim and details in a bohemian but classic vibe. Choosing the right color scheme can truly add to the portrait session as it did for Amanda and her family.As the three children played down the tree lined streets, we clicked away on the cameras and were able to capture such a natural state of all three of them. If a photo is worth a thousand words, than the Mojibi portraits say it all… FAMILY.

In Russian the meaning of Mila is “people’s love”, in the Ekegren family the meaning of Mila seemingly translates the same. Love filled the room at baby Mila’s newborn shoot. Just only a few weeks old, Mila’s beauty was simply captivating. Morgan and Johnny decided on a family session in their home along with Mila’s newborn photos. The whole session was a relaxed vibe allowing for the love this family has for one another to truly shine through. Not only did mommy and daddy each get some photos with the little princess, big brother, Jax, also got in on the action and snagged a few photos with the newest addition to the family. Mila wore a darling gold and white headband and we used a cute little heart print blanket. The natural morning light was beautiful and simple. With all the fuss that goes into caring for a newborn, this shoot required very little lighting and styling; A new little life has an aire that the camera just loves.

Little girls.  They do not stay little very long.  What a precious time of life and how quickly it can go by.  just love to capture this stage in a little girls life when nothing is impossible and every day is an adventure.  Their adorable personalities just shine through the camera lens.  This adorable little girl is Zoe. Her mama tells me that a little sparkle follows her everywhere and boy is she right!  It was such a great time playing dress up and capturing Zoe’s sparkle.
