James and Lauren’s June Lake Engagement Session
Snow is my new favorite place to photograph!
For James and Lauren’s engagement session we traveled to June Lake, California where I had the pleasure of photographing my future cousins-in-law. Our shoot actually ended up a two days long due to a white out storm on our planned shoot day. Modeling in 20 degree weather, Lauren and James wore denim with black and Lauren added a chic fur vest for one of their looks. As the snow became more intense we added a striped blanket to keep the lovebirds cozy. The snow storm turned into a white out and that was when we decided a second day of shooting would be best. Most of our film shooting at ADPFoto is to add a little something special. For James and Lauren, we shot half of their session in film!Read More
Ryan and Lily’s Central Coast Wedding
Ryan and Lily chose the central coast to say “I Do”. Surrounded by family and friends, Lily wore a sweetheart shaped tulle dress. Her look was completed with darling shoes covered in crystals and topped off with a bow. Ryan was ever so classic as well in a perfectly tailored tuxedo. The vivid purples and blush colors of the florals added to the beauty of the natural seaside landscape. The sunset on the beach made for a perfect location for the bride and groom photos. We also can’t forget the ever so chic classic red car. Having met at a bookstore, the tables were decorated with books and cute little sayings, a definite nod to their story. Guests chose from a variety of confections on the cake table created by Sweet Surrender of Bakersfield California. A beautiful day full of love and laughter.

Kyle and Breann’s Rustic California Wedding
Breann and Kyle’s rustic California wedding was so much fun to photograph. The couple were married on her father’s private residence overlooking the Kern river valley. The outdoor ceremony was followed by a reception held at sunset in a wooden barn built special by her father. Every little detail spoke of the love this cute couple share. Their color scheme of turquoise, tan and ivory lent itself well to their outdoor barn wedding. The bride and her maids all rocked cowboy boots while the groom and groomsmen wore tan suits. Breann’s fitted lace wedding dress was to die for! It fit her like a glove and she could not have chosen a better updo to go along with it. The film photography was perfect for this wedding. The sunset lighting amplified the quality and beauty of a film shot. The night ended with celebratory bridal party photos on the porch of the saloon.
The Morse Family’s Dry River Bed Photo Session
Our dry riverbed shoot came to life when the Morse family showed up. Their darling daughter pranced around in her little red hair bow and big smiles. The natural landscape was a perfect setting for her to explore and this allowed us to photograph her very naturally. The Morse family did a great job coordinating their outfits which also added interest to their photos. Mom wore a neutral creme sweater, dad in a button up shirt and baby girl in darling boots, striped dress and that little red bow we all loved. We couldn’t have asked for a sweeter family to shoot this holiday season.
Erin and David’s Private Estate Engagement Session
Erin and David’s engagement session was shot at a private estate along the Kern River. Every time we turned around there was another little nook or cranny for us to tuck ourselves into and photograph. The estate’s back yard and the Kern River were amazing backdrops to photograph against during the magic hour! We absolutely took advantage of partially shooting this session on film while we were there! Erin decided on a long flowing purple maxi dress, a far stretch from her tailored news anchor attire, and David in a classic denim and button up collar shirt. Their attire helped set the tone for their shoot, simple, classic, and natural. The entire session was beautiful and as Shakespeare said it best, “I like this place and could willingly waste my time in it.” Indeed we could.
